How Dr Holistic uses cookies and similar technologies, and how to control them.

Who operates this site

Dr Holistic is a brand operated by Dr Holistic, LLC, a limited liability company formed in [State pending]. References in this policy to "Dr Holistic," "we," "us," or "our" mean Dr Holistic, LLC doing business as Dr Holistic. Principal office: [Business address pending].

What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how Dr Holistic (a brand of Dr Holistic, LLC) uses cookies and similar technologies on drholistic.clinic (the "Site"). It supplements our Privacy Policy. The separate provider platform at app.drholistic.clinic is operated for the independent providers and pharmacies and may use its own cookies under its own notices.

What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. "Similar technologies" include local storage and pixels that perform comparable functions. They can be "first party" (set by the Site you are visiting) or "third party" (set by another service). They can also be "session" cookies that expire when you close your browser or "persistent" cookies that remain until they expire or you delete them.

The cookies and storage we use

We keep our use of cookies deliberately minimal. Strictly necessary cookies and our privacy-conscious first-party analytics are described below. Third-party marketing measurement cookies load only if you opt in on our cookie banner. The categories below describe what we use:

  • Strictly necessary: cookies and storage needed for the Site to load and function correctly and securely. These are always on because the Site cannot work properly without them.
  • Analytics (PostHog): our first-party analytics provider sets an identifier in a cookie and in your browser's local storage to measure aggregate Site usage and how the funnel performs. Automatic capture of clicks and form inputs is turned off, event data is sanitized to remove fields that look like direct identifiers, and we do not send your health interests, name, email, or phone to analytics. We do not use session recording on the Site.
  • Marketing measurement, only with your opt-in consent: if you accept on our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel to measure how our marketing performs. They are configured to minimize data: Meta Limited Data Use is on, there is no Advanced Matching, Google Signals and ad personalization are off, and IP addresses are anonymized. We never send your name, email, phone, address, or any health information, and we do not pass the medication or page topic you viewed. If you decline, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, these do not load at all.

Marketing measurement and your choices

Third-party measurement cookies (Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel) load only after you opt in on our banner, and never if you decline or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, which we honor as a decline. When they are active, they receive only de-identified measurement signals, with no name, contact details, or health information, and no Advanced Matching. We do not sell your personal information for money. We share limited measurement data with Google and Meta for our own marketing analytics only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by declining the banner (clear this site's cookies and storage to be re-prompted), by sending a Global Privacy Control signal, or by emailing care@drholistic.clinic. Neither Google nor Meta will sign a HIPAA business associate agreement, which is exactly why we never send them protected health information.

How to control cookies

You have several ways to control cookies and similar technologies:

  • Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage. Look in your browser's privacy or security settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Site.
  • Global Privacy Control: you can install or enable a browser or extension that sends a GPC signal, which we honor as a valid opt-out where the law requires.
  • Opt out of analytics: you can opt out of our analytics by enabling your browser's "Do Not Track" or GPC signal, by blocking cookies and local storage for this Site, or by contacting us at care@drholistic.clinic to request that we exclude you. Because our analytics relies on a browser-stored identifier, clearing your cookies and local storage will reset and remove it.
  • Device-level controls: your operating system and mobile device settings also offer privacy controls that affect storage and tracking.
